What’s Changing Next: 16th Ave SW & 2nd Street Intersection

What: The crosswalk intersection at 16th Ave SW & 2nd Street Intersection will be closed. Traffic will be able to travel East/West on 2nd Street past 16th Ave

When: October 12th - 22nd

Opening Back Up: 2nd Street at Civic Center Drive

What: 2nd Street will reopen to traffic - one lane in each direction at Civic Center Drive

When: September 25th

Changing: Access at 3rd Ave SW & 2nd Steet SW

What: Access to 3rd Ave SW from 2nd Street SW will end as the street will be permanently vacated to private development.

When: October 7, 2026

What you need to know: Vehicles will no longer be able to turn off 2nd Street SW onto 3rd Ave SW and proceed through to the north. This is a permanent closure.

Changing: UPDATE - Traffic Shifting at 2nd St & Hwy 52

What: Traffic will shift to the south side of the road at 2nd Street SW and Highway 52

When: September 26th (updated from the 21st due to weather conditions)

Opening Back Up: 19th Ave & 2nd St SW Intersection

What: The intersection at 19th Ave SW and 2nd St SW is expected to open up with the traffic light.

When: By end the end of the week (September 4, 2026).

Opening Back Up: 3rd Avenue Bridge

What: 3rd Avenue Bridge is open to north & south vehicular traffic and pedestrian traffic on the east side of the bridge.

When: Monday, August 31
